CBS Scenic Design and Fabrication has been on the forefront of scenic technology for decades...

With the development and usage of vacu-form scenery early on, the first test of color television, and the creation of unique lighting systems for its studios in the 60's, CBS has led the way in scenic design technology.

From the black and white painted sets in early soap opera days to the printed graphic sets we make today- we have found ways to enhance the television scenery and create
the best image possible for your broadcast and webcasting needs.

Since 1994, CBS Design has utilized virtual reality for scenic planning and scenery designs. 

We created a virtual set for the election coverage in 1996.

We won an Emmy for our Virtual set designs for the CBS News Time 100 Project, and
introduced the  financial world to virtual scenery, with our designs for Market Watch.

CBS Designs contributes virtual scenery to CBSsports.com on a regular basis, and often works with 48 Hours and CBS News Productions on special projects that can utilize virtual scenery. 

In addition, CBS Design can provide pre-viz animations,pre visualization of events, exhibits, special effects and of stunt scenes.

We utilize Sketch Up, 3d Studio Max and a number of other software products to help our clients see what their project will look like before our carpenters pick up the hammers.
